Summer semester
I don't know why this didn't post the first time. I just got in to change my password today and discovered this was still waiting as a draft. So this is kind of old information, but oh well. I'll add more another day since I need to get a few more things done before bed.
Well, look at that, I'm posting again and it's only been a few weeks since the last post (mostly because I'm trying to kill time for twenty minutes before going to meet with one of the faculty advisors for Borrowed Earth--the journal for which I am currently head editor). Surprisingly Winter semester was the easiest end of the semester I've had since starting my master's program, one final, one paper, low stress. It was great. Of course I did manage to show up an hour and forty-five minutes late for my last final (I thought the ending time was the starting time because of the way it was typed on the syllabus), that was pretty stressful, but it's over and the worst thing that could happen is I'll get an A- in the course instead of an A.
I'm taking my last class this semester (unless my department decides I must take more language classes in Chinese or Spanish, which I'm hoping they won't) and that excites me to a degree you cannot imagine! Then all I have to do is write a thesis (actually that's the part of this program I most dread, but at least I won't be trying to split myself between classes and thesis).
I also just got a new job working on the grounds of BYU campus. I think it will be a good summer job, not one to put on the resume, but enjoyable. I like the idea of being outside during the summer and they pay enough to allow me to pay my bills so that's good enough for me.
James is doing well and I'm looking forward to talking to him on Mother's Day!
